I feel a bit spoiled being out here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I've seen Vain 5 times in the last 4 years.
You guys are in for some great performances.
I was hoping they would sneak in some shows out here to gear up for the European trek.
You can expect to see Davy walking around the venues before the set and mingling with fans.
He is very approachable and takes time out to talk to each and every person.

I have run a lot of gigs and one tour myself. To sell 100 tickets for a single gig up front this far away really is a good amount.
As someone else said Vain were never that big first time around, what people are forgetting is that PBF were not that big either - and they have still managed to do 3 tours over here this century.
The Vain tour is gonna kick ass, and if you are fans of the band, quit whining, get yourselves out there and talk to your mates about getting off your asses and down to the shows.

Hi Ian,
I haven't been *anywhere* mate, for a while,
to be honest. I'm up to the eyeballs, at the
moment, in uni assignments and personal projects.
A friend of mine and I are now developing a
little freelance Digital Production company
between us - specialising in DVD production.
(We offer camera work, Photoshop, Illustrator,
Flash, Dreamweaver, DVD Lab Pro, Scenarist,
Encore, After Effects, Motion, Shake, Combustion,
etc., etc. skills. Ideally, we'll concentrate on
music-based work, as a way of paying the bills.)
We're using the Hull Aid tsunami benefit gig
DVD (I co-shot, a few weeks ago) as a warm up
for the Rich Rags production.
I could do with a night out, though, so expect
to see me soon. If you don't see me at the Welly
pissed, expect our film crew in the next couple of
weeks.
Re bass playing: I've still available, yeh. I
need some cash though, to get the strap fixed on
my bass, and probably some cash to buy a second
bass and a decent amp. Any jobs going at the club?

Darren,
Im sure i'll bump into you somewhere but i will let you know if i get a rehearsal sorted via email.
Got a few irons in the fire there mate - sounds good to me!
Im looking for someone to build me a website for my promotion company/Rock revolution - do you know someone who could do a good job...cheaply?
In Wulverton(nr milton keynes) to watch Waysted play in a country bumpkin pub tomorrow and hopefully set up something with Majestic rock records to tie in with rock revolution which could be great.

Ian,
I know lots of great - really great - website
designers (Nick, the guy behind www.sparktv.co.uk
for example, is awesome), but they're invariably
students - so therefore, they'll do it cheaply,
but they won't do it for free, because they've
got student debts to pay off, of course.
